This year Midwestern Sectionals are being held at my home rink and I couldn’t be more excited for them to finally begin! I have watched my usually figure skating and hockey rink get transformed into a competition rink and it looks great! My training has been going really well and I am ready to compete! The short is Friday and the long is Saturday!! My little sister Braedyn, who is 12, competed today in the juvenile ladies event. She was amazing and I couldn’t be prouder! Also, two of my great friends Mariah Bell and Barbie Long are competing this weekend and I am excited to see them! It should be an amazing and busy week! Wish me luck! Hi everyone! This fall is going to be very busy for me! I just started school and my training is starting to pick up speed. This year I am a Junior at Williamston High School and I will have to work hard to keep my grades up and skate everyday. (Below is a picture of my sisters and I on out first day of school) I am recovering well from my surgery and working really hard to gain back strength. My programs are also coming along really well! My short program, with the music Firebird, is fast and furious. My long program music title is Primavera which means spring, and it is modern and unique. I have worked hard to develop my programs and use emotion while skating through them. I love them and cannot wait for you all to see them this year!!
We’re on our way to Oakland, California for the Ice Dreams show with Johnny Weir! It will be great at see all my friends and Johnny! I’m skating to Let’s Get Loud! Come cheer us on, it will be an amazing show!
Today I participated in the Skate, Dance, Dream show in Cleveland, Ohio. I got to meet and get to know many amazing dancers and skaters. Some of the features along with myself were Richard Dornbush, Gev Manoukian, and Sean Rabbit. Parker Pennington did a great job pulling together the show. It was amazing to be a part of and I had so much fun!
I just got my new long and short programs. My amazing choreographer, Daniil Barantsev, came to work with me two weeks ago. I am working really hard training them now. I cannot wait too have everyone see them and give me feedback! I hope they are enjoyed as much as last years were!
I’m currently in Omaha, Nebraska for the US Championships! I competed my short program on Thursday night and I am very happy with my performance. I am sitting in eighth place right now and I compete my long tomorrow night! It is going to be broad casted live on NBC and I skate around 8:30! Be sure to watch and wish me luck!
I just finished my second JGP in Zagreb, Croatia! After my short program I was in third place and in my long I pulled up to second! I was so excited to earn the silver medal for the second time this year and I had so much fun getting to know my team mates! Zagreb was a beautiful city and I am glad I got to sight see when I had a break from skating! Croatia was beautiful and another success!!
Austria was a huge success! I had so much fun getting to know Team USA, and representing the USA when I skated! It was an amazing experience, and I am excited to come home with a silver medal! Next I will be heading to Croatia in two weeks to attend another JGP!! Go Team USA!!!
After about 15 hours of travel I finally made it to Linz, Austria! The scenery is amazing and I cannot wait for my first practice tomorrow morning!!
